I submitted a beaded hat to the new Stitch n Bitch book. It’s cute and I got lots of compliments on it when I posted it to another blog and my friend that I made it for loves it. I figured it couldn’t hurt to submit. She was supposed to get back to us 3 weeks from the 19th (which would be around sometime last week). I hadn’t heard anything, but wasn’t surprised. Anyhow, I got this in my inbox this morning.
Dear Amy,
I’m so sorry that it’s taken so long for me to let you know that I received
your submission to the new SNB book. Unfortunately, the past month has been
tough - [she was sick and even though I'm pretty sure this was a form letter sent out to all submissions, it feels weird to post her personal health info on the web] .
I’m on the mend now, but it’s thrown everything a bit off schedule. I’ll
need at least another 3 weeks to make my selections for the book. Once I’ve
chosen, I promise I’ll let you know the status of your submission
immediately.
Again, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to review your
project, and I’m very sorry that I haven’t been in touch sooner.
xxxxooo deb
Isn’t that a nice note? Hopefully I’ll hear soon and hopefully it will be positive. Keep your fingers crossed!

Aw - that is nice! I hope you have good news soon!
i submitted something too, but did not get an email… though now that i think about it i might have mailed it a day late or so. damn.
Hey there! I get the S&B calendar via email from pageaday.com and today is your pattern! Thought you would like to know
Am making this hat right now from the SnB calendar and I LOVE IT. There is a little problem though. The instructions call for approximately 70 beads when the project actually needs 176. I’m sure it was a typo, but when you’re 1/3 of the way through the project before you realize it…well…it stinks. Crisis averted at this point and I think my friend will love the hat. Thanks for the great pattern!
