The sag factor: The biggest worry for me about this skirt was how it would hold up after a full day’s wear and whether or not I would have a big sag in the butt. I am happy to say that after a day of walking around, sitting down, standing up, getting in and out of the car etc. that the skirt held up really well! There was no butt pooch. It did grow a little in length, but it still looked nice. I’m not sure that I would knit another skirt (for an adult) again, but the pattern was fun and the skirt is cute. I will definitely wear it again.
Other Notes: It was a relatively easy pattern to modify once I figured out the measurements that I wanted. If you want to make your own to actually fit your body (the sizes listed are only 37″ and 44″ or something insane like that) essentially you just have to make sure that you end up with a multiple of 18 for the first feather and fan pattern and then the rest of the increases will work out fine.

Let’s see the butt darts! And I love it. I’ve been thinking of making one, but that would be way too stalkerish, wouldn’t it?
(and this is Karyn, this is the inlog to my Swedish journal, and I can’t bother changing it, sorry!)
I have knitted some “feather and fan” for my daughter. Your skirt is wonderful.
